Pictures of Hope Foundation

I am so proud to be a photographer for a new charitable photography organization called Pictures of Hope. Learn more about this valuable gift of photography by visiting the foundation’s website.

http://www.picturesofhopefoundation.org

If you know of anyone with a baby/babies in the NICU, please send them to this website. I will go to anyone in the DFW area.

What is the Pictures of Hope Foundation?

Pictures of Hope is a charitable organization of professional photographers who provide complimentary, documentary-style, photography sessions to babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and their families.  The Pictures of Hope Foundation is comprised of photographers (many of whom are “NICU mothers” themselves) from across the United States and Canada who are dedicated to donating their time to a cause they believe in, and sharing the gift of photography with families in need.

Why Pictures of Hope?
Throughout pregnancy most parents don’t anticipate the possibility of their baby needing to stay in the NICU after birth. Whatever that reason may be, time spent in the NICU is often an unexpected journey for families, a journey full of overwhelming emotions…sadness, confusion, hope, celebration, and unfortunately, at times grief. Throughout this roller coaster of emotions, many parents do not consider the importance of documenting these precious moments in their lives nor do they think about how much they will truly cherish these images years down the road. In some cases, a little extra TLC from the NICU is needed to be sure the little one gets off to the best possible start, for these families on the road to well being, photographs are a wonderful reminder of just how far their little one has come, however, photographs also play a necessary and very important role in the healing process for other families. In the most heart breaking circumstances, photos may be the only tangible keepsakes some parents have of their precious little one. All Pictures of Hopeparticipating photographers are dedicating to providing NICU families with invaluable images you will cherish forever, captured in a sensitive and caring manner.

5 days old | Dallas newborn photographer

I love newborns so so SO much. Especially when they are this new and perfect :) Little M took her time falling asleep for us, but when she did, she was a dream to photograph. There is so much magic in a new tiny life, I could honestly spend hours capturing it in pictures. Having my own has reminded me again just how quickly it goes by. Thank you for inviting me into your home and I will see you in 3 months for your next Year to Remember session!

Hope everyone had an egg-celent Easter :)

It was Alina’s first, so we stuck her in a basket (just like we did when Sofia was just a month old).

Sofia got to do an egg hunt inside since the weather was cold & crummy and she had been fighting pretty bad fevers since the middle of last week. You can tell by the pic she still isn’t feeling her best…

I hope everyone enjoyed their families and all those kiddos out there had a sugary blast!

love, Jonnye

Little Miracles & The March for Babies | Dallas baby photographer

This is a very special sneak~peek for a very special family and cause.  I first photographed these sweet girls in the NICU after they had lived there nearly 3 months, and the second time at their home,at 5 months old at their official newborn session.

It is my pleasure to get to photograph these little miracle babies for their one year birthday!

The sweet mommy of these twin girls is walking in the March of Dimes March of Babies wal on April 18th.

Please take the time to visit their page and make a donation to their team.

a message from their mommy…
” As we approach an anniversary that at one time was unimaginable, we again realize how blessed we have been. Fortunately, God is not limited by our imaginations. Our daughters, Berkley and Emory, will celebrate their FIRST BIRTHDAY on April 14, 2009. Their lives are testimonies to God′s mercy, the power of prayer and the wonders of modern medicine.

As most of you know, Berkley and Emory came into this world as a big surprise. They were born 15 weeks premature – Berkley weighed only 1 lb. 5 oz., and Emory weighed just 1 lb. 3 oz. Despite their size, they have taught us so much and have given us a new perspective on life. Among the many things we have learned, our little girls have especially taught us that it really is the small things in life that matter most. Big things only happen once in a very long while. And the big things are often just a bunch of little things grouped together. Life is too short to only savor the big moments. For us, it′s the little things like: Berkley′s first cry, the day Emory opened her eyes, installing a car seat, a bedtime story, the song we heard on the way home after both girls had been discharged from the hospital (after 123 long days), a toothless grin or a short walk down the hall just to watch the girls sleep.

So many of you are a part of our year of memories. Your prayers and support saved Berkley and Emory, and we consider you a part of our extended family. In some cases, we may have never met you, but we want you to know that we know you′re there and you have impacted our lives in ways you could not imagine.

We are so blessed to have a story to tell, and we also have a responsibility to tell it. Because you are also a part of our story, we would like to invite you to be a part of a special day for Berkley and Emory – the annual March of DImes.

For those of you who are not familiar with The March of Dimes, it is an organization that helped us through the uncharted waters of the NICU. This charitable foundation is behind so much of what is done in the NICU. We would like for you to join us in this worthy cause, whether you can do so by walking with us or by donating funds.

Your donation to the March of Dimes and/or your participation in the walk is one of those little things, but we assure you that it makes a big difference.

Please help our team help babies— click JOIN THIS TEAM at the top of the page and get started!

The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.”
